Using ecoline and marbles for artwork
This fun craftwork idea using ecoline is not to be missed. The children can design their own artwork using paper, ecoline, a few straws and some marbles.
How to use ecoline for craftwork ideas:
- We used some old MDF planks to make a tray in which you can fit a sheet of A4 paper. You can of course use an old tray, providing that the sides are high enough to prevent the marbles from rolling out.
- Place a sheet of white paper, either A4 or any suitable size, in the tray and scatter some drops of different coloured ecoline at random on the paper.
- Put a couple of marbles into the tray. Encourage the child to gently move the tray so that the marbles roll around in it. As the marbles roll in the ecoline a random pattern is formed.
- Using a straw the child can spread the ecoline over the paper.
NB: Ecoline is not easy to wash out of clothing, so see that the children are wearing old clothes or aprons or even a dustbin liner that has been cut open and worn to protect their clothing.
