An ideal Spring craftwork project – make this pretty popcorn bloom craftwork tree which is in full bloom. This tree can be made quite easily or if you prefer it can be more complicated. Think about the background and the way you want to paint the tree. This spring craft idea is fun to make with toddlers, but also with people from group 8.

A popcorn bloom craftwork tree in full bloom:
- For this spring craft idea, you need an empty lid from, for example, a shoe box or the cover of an old puzzle box if the puzzle is no longer complete. I always keep sturdy lids and covers from boxes, because you can frequently use them as a sturdy base when making art or craft work.
- Different coloured paints, a paint brush, a bowl of water, glue and popcorn.
- Paint the background in the lid. You can make the background completely green, but you can also paint a sunset or make it half blue and half green, depicting the sky and the grass. Make it as beautiful as you can.
- When the paint is dry you use brown paint to paint a tree with branches.
- When the tree is dry you can paste on pieces of popcorn, to represent the spring blossom.
- If you do not want to use popcorn, you can decorate the tree with pieces of white or pink crepe paper. If you do not have crepe paper in the house, then you can use buttons. If you use buttons then you will need to use glue that is appropriate for wood, this is strong and when dry it is clear. You can put some flowers among the grass or paint butterflies or birds in the sky.
